Dr. Prystowsky, a board-certified dermatologist with 25 years of experience, provides tips to help keep you and your family safe during below-freezing temperatures.

Janet Hill Prystowsky, MD
Dr. Janet Hill Prystowsky is a board-certified dermatologist with over 20 years of experience and additional certification in Mohs Surgery, providing patients with comprehensive dermatologic surgery services at her New York practice since 2002. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Prystowsky holds a hospital appointment as senior attending at Roosevelt-St. Luke's Medical Center and is the President of LIVAD Skin Care, LLC, her own line of skincare products.

Dr. Prystowsky completed a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from Pennsylvania State University, as well as two graduate degrees and a Ph.D. from the Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition. Her extensive academic training concluded with a medical degree with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.After graduating with her medical degree, Dr. Prystowsky completed residency training in Dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and also received specialized training in Mohs Surgery through a preceptorship at Stony Brook Medical Center.Dr. Prystowsky is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, New York Academy of Medicine, New York State Society of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, The New York Facial Plastic Surgery Society and Dermatology Society of Greater New York.

Within these organizations, Dr. Prystowsky has held several elected positions. She has also served on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Wounds, as well as on the committee for many federal grant reviews.

Throughout her medical training and experience, Dr. Prystowsky's work has been published in numerous articles, book chapters, reviews, abstracts and other works detailing her research in the field of dermatology.
