Do you want to be healthier and happier?
Winnie Abramson, ND and author, joins Andrea and Lisa to help guide you with small, simple changes you can make every day to improve your well-being.
Lifestyle change is difficult; but if you can make one simple change a week, before you know it you will have made significant lifestyle changes.
For instance, Winnie urges you to STOP dieting. Health is a long haul approach -- not a sprint.
Quick diets and fads can actually do damage to your body. Nourish your body with food; do not restrict your diet. It is all about moderation and proper nutrition. Eat healthy regularly and your body will sustain an optimal weight without the need to diet.
Another excellent tip is to plant a garden.
Not only can this be fun, but it also allows you access to fresh foods regularly. If you live in a city or are restricted by space, there are tower gardens that can be used in smaller spaces and even indoors. So, no excuses!
An important one? Practice gratitude.
At the beginning of each day, think of a couple of things or people in your life that you are grateful for and let them know. Life is hard and simple acts of appreciation to a friend, co-worker or family member can help make a huge positive impact on their day and yours.
These and many other simple changes that can be worked slowly into your daily routine can help transform your life and ultimately result in a healthier, happier you!
