Timothy-FrantzDr. Timothy Frantz has provided Ear, Nose and Throat care to patients in Northern California for over 20 years.  As a board certified Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) physician and as a licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser, Dr. Frantz is dedicated to applying state-of-the-art techniques and hearing aid technologies in a caring and patient-centered environment.

Dr. Frantz received his bachelor’s degree in biology at California State Polytechnic Institute, Pomona.  He completed medical school at Rosalind Franklin University/The Chicago Medical School with high honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) as the senior medical school class president.After finishing medical school, Dr. Frantz completed two years of general surgery training and three years of ENT specialty training in the San Francisco Bay Area with Dr. Raymond Hilsinger Jr. and his teaching staff.  In addition, he served for one year as ENT chief resident.  In 1994, Dr. Frantz opened a private practice in Red Bluff, California and subsequently received his board certification in 1995. He actively practices ENT, dispenses hearing aids, writes on hearing loss and related topics, and maintains surgical staff privileges at several local hospitals.  Dr. Frantz’s research has been published in national medical journals and he has lectured both regionally and nationally.

Dr. Frantz is passionate about educating the public about hearing loss and treating patients with hearing loss.  In addition to writing the book, Hearing Loss: Facts and Fiction – 7 Secrets to Better Hearing, and his blog, he also writes a quarterly newsletter on hearing loss which is available at no charge through his website (www.theheardoc.com).
