Is there any way to escape this barrage of toxic exposure?
Dr. Stewart Lonky, whose practice involves the evaluation and treatment of patients with toxic exposures, says absolutely yes... there are specific steps you can take to reduce and eliminate toxins in your daily life.
Step One: Acceptance
Begin by realizing and understanding that toxic substances that are harmful to our biology are pervasive and that you can do something about it. The average baby is born with over 200 toxins in their bodies.
Step Two: Identify
Know the toxins that are in your environment and be able to identify what and where they are. Common locations are under the sink, in your garage and in your living room. There is a very long list of substances known to be harmful to the human body.
Step Three: Prevention
Defend yourself by limiting the absorption of toxins by avoiding contact with them. Most toxins enter your body via your mouth. After you touch them with your fingers, then put your fingers in or near your mouth, they get into your gastrointestinal tract. Toxins also enter into your lungs and through your skin.
Step Four: Elimination
Go on the offensive! Harmful toxic substances are inside of us and there are ways to get them out. Zeolite (a naturally occurring volcanic mineral) absorbs toxic metals in the body and gets them out of you. Sweating is also a great way to detoxify. Dr. Lonky has published clinical studies demonstrating the efficacy of zeolites to remove toxic heavy metals like lead from organic tissues.
