- Guest Bio: Dr. Joseph Merola received his MD from the NYU School of Medicine and MMSc from Harvard Medical School. He is board-certified in internal medicine, dermatology and rheumatology. He completed dermatology training and was chief resident at the NYU School of Medicine. He trained in internal medicine and rheumatology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Merola is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and currently serves as Director of clinical trials for the Department of Dermatology, is Co-Director of the center for Skin and Related Musculoskeletal Diseases, and Associate Program Director for the combined internal medicine-dermatology residency training program. His clinical and research interests are focused on autoimmune diseases of the skin and joints including psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis and connective tissue disorders.
