Miracle of Micronutrients

According to a recent study by the USDA, 96 percent of Americans are deficient in at least one micronutrient.
According to a recent study by the USDA, 96 percent of Americans are deficient in at least one micronutrient.

This is alarming, because minerals are essential for so many functions in the human body.

Unfortunately, the problem begins in the soil. When the soil is deficient of minerals, your food is deficient.

Buying foods that are both organic and local is the ideal answer, but not everyone can do that. Growing your own food is also an option, but what if you can't do that either?

Special guests Mira Calton, CN and Jayson Calton, PhD, say there are three steps you can take to start getting more micronutrients into your diet:
  1. Switch to "rich" foods (those that are rich in micronutrients).
  2. Evaluate your lifestyle. Identify what is robbing you or depleting you of nutrients (diet, exercise, stress, even some Rx drugs).
  3. Smart supplementation.

Listen in as the Caltons joins hosts Andrea and Lisa to share more about the importance of micronutrients, as well as how you can make sure you're getting enough in your daily diet.
