Robert J. Evans III, MD, FACS
Evans-Robert-JRobert J. Evans III, MD, FACS is an associate professor in the Department of Urology at Wake Forest School of Medicine. 

He directs the clinic operations of the department at Wake Forest. Dr. Evans specializes in pelvic pain syndrome, including painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis. Dr. Evans holds board certification from, and is a diplomat of, the American Board of Urology and the National Board of Examiners. 

He is a member of the board of directors of the Interstitial Cystitis Association and serves on the association’s Medical Advisory Board. Included in Dr. Evans’ experience as a researcher, is his role as the director of a 23-center study that showed preliminary efficacy of a monoclonal antibody for treating pain associated with interstitial cystitis. He will begin enrolling patients in three new interstitial cystitis trials this year. 

Dr. Evans serves as an invited lecturer at medical and educational venues nationwide. His articles have been published in a variety of peer reviewed journals.
