Dr. Susan Krauss Whitbourne is a Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she specializes in the psychology of adult development and aging.
She received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and has over 170 journal articles and chapters and 17 books, including most recently the Encyclopedia of Adulthood and Aging published by Wiley-Blackwell.
The Chair of the Behavioral and Social Sciences Section of the Gerontological Society of America, she also serves on the Board of Educational Affairs of the American Psychological Association.
