Dyan Haspel‐Johnson, Ph.D., earned her bachelors degree in fine art from Rhode Island School of Design. After a short career as a fashion designer, Dr. Dyan changed paths and got her Ph.D. in psychology from Saybrook University. She worked part‐time in a holistic medical practice for 20 years and now has a full‐time private psychotherapy and hypnotherapy practice in Santa Monica, California.
In addition to Dr. Dyan’s general therapeutic and hypnosis practice, she specializes in working with chronic problems –including sleep issues, pain, health issues, anxiety, depression, motivation, couples work, life path and creativity issues, and general stress reduction ‐ with the goal of helping to empower individuals to transform their weaknesses into strengths. She has held positions as the Past President, Vice President of Programs, Co‐Chair of Online and Print Publicity, Chair of Hospitality, and teaching faculty for the Southern California Society For Clinical Hypnosis (SCSCH).
Additionally, she was Clinical Faculty for the Hypnosis Seminar at UCLA in the Dept. of Psychiatry, and is Co‐Founder of the Los Angeles Erickson Institute. She is a member of Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (SCEH), American Psychological Association, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and is an ASCH Approved Consultant.
