EP 1,029B - Cane Jitsu Defense

Today's COVID-19, unemployment, social unrest, and growing poverty have created a different world than we lived in only five years ago. Merely taking a leisurely walk outside or to your car puts you at risk.

Half of the self-defense is knowing how to avoid having to fight, and that can often be accomplished by common sense, cane twirling, and not looking like a target. The other half is knowing how to protect yourself with the cane and to recognize dangerous situations.

Ted Gordon joins Dr. Roizen to talk all about self-defense and using a cane as protection, as well as his new book Cane Jitsu Defense.

EP 1,029B - Cane Jitsu Defense
Featuring:
Ted Gordon

Well-respected author Ted H. Gordon, writer of eleven non-fiction books, seeks to provide solutions to problems and issues readers may face in many facets of their lives. Ted's books range from health conditions to the law, to protecting yourself from an attack, and business books, and even a children's book to make young students feel good about themselves.

Academically Ted earned a B.S. degree (major in business administration, minor in psychology) while being the equivalent of his university's president of business (EXCBO). He received his M.B.A. but didn't go to the ceremony, for which his grandmother never forgave him. He graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, after which he worked as an attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ted's hobbies include Ju-Jitsu (third-degree black belt), magic (used to be a professional magician), writing, and woodworking. He is now retired and lives in Arizona with his wife, and his son and his family are 20 minutes away by car
