My entire professional career has been focused on improving hospice care. I have been involved in hospice leadership and research since 1978! An award-winning hospice researcher, I have received the community education award from the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine where I also have served on the Board and currently am serving on two leadership committees. I have been a national keynote speaker for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and testified before the National Academies of Science and Medicine, and am also the author of: Legacies from the Living Room: A love Grief Equation.
