Dr. Oz is a World Renowned Heart Surgeon, Founder of HealthCorps, Professor Emeritus of Columbia University, & Emmy Award winning host of “The Dr. Oz Show.”
Dr. Oz currently serves as the 17th Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Dr. Oz won Nine Daytime Emmy® Awards for “The Dr. Oz Show” and a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star while hosting his show for 13 years until he earned the nomination of the Pennsylvania Republican party for the U.S. Senate in 2022. He is professor emeritus at Columbia University and led the heart institute at New York Presbyterian Medical Center with research interests including heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive surgery, complementary medicine and health care policy. He has received numerous patents, including creation of the famed Mitraclip to repair heart valves without surgery. He has authored over 400 original publications, book chapters, and medical books, and led The Good Life Magazine with Hearst for a decade. He created a newspaper column syndicated by Hearst in 175 markets internationally for 15 years.
