Sevy Phalangas majored in music and minored in theater at the University of Pennsylvania. She studied with Pulitzer Prize winning composers, George Crumb and Richard Wernick. Highlights in her career include: receiving commissions to compose and perform original compositions for The Re-dedication of Ellis Island, and for Olympic Torch celebrations for Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004, in Greece; receiving an Individual Artist Grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts to develop and record original compositions strongly influenced by Greek music; creating and implementing extensive educational programs that integrate music and cultural studies to the curriculum of public and private schools in the North Wilmington area; working extensively with children on the autism spectrum; celebrating music’s power to bring joy and understanding to people of all ages and with different abilities for over 20 years.

Philip Rizzuto, MD, FACS, currently serves as the American Academy of Ophthalmology's secretary for communications and is the chief medical editor of the online journal, Academy Express. He previously served as chairman of the patient education committee, served as a member of the secretariat for state affairs, is a past member of the Council (representing Rhode Island) and served as the president of the Rhode Island Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He is a past member of the EyeNet editorial advisory board, as well as the Committee for State Organizational Development, and participated in one of the earliest Academy Leadership Development Programs.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Rizzuto is in private practice specializing in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Providence, RI. He is an associate clinical professor of surgery at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the director of the oculoplastic service at the VA medical center in Providence. Dr. Rizzuto received his undergraduate degree from the University at Albany and his medical degree from the University at Buffalo. Dr. Arthur B. Epstein is a native New Yorker who grew up in the Bronx, NY; later moving to Great Neck on Long Island, NY. He now resides in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Epstein graduated from the City College of New York, CUNY, with a B.S. in psychology and received an O.D. degree from the State University of New York, State College of Optometry where he also served as the college's first resident in ocular disease.
Dr. Epstein heads the practice’s Dry Eye Ocular Surface Disease Center and serves as its Director of Clinical Research. He is a Fellow of the British Contact Lens Association, a Distinguished Practitioner of the National Academies of Practice, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Full Member of the International Society of Contact Lens Specialists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, the AOA Contact Lens & Cornea Section, the Arizona Optometric Association, the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society (TFOS), the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) and served as a founding Board member of the American Optometric Society, and founded and currently serves as President of the American Board of Clinical Optometry.
Listed by Optometric Management as among the most influential in optometry, Dr. Epstein is a sought after speaker, having presented more than 1000 invited lectures on a variety of eye care topics in the U.S. and throughout the world. He is also a prolific author with many hundreds of articles, scientific papers and book chapters published. He is a Contributing Editor for Review of Optometry and Executive Editor of Review of Cornea and Contact Lenses. He founded, and serves as Chief Medical Editor of Optometric Physician™, the first E-Journal in optometry. Dr. Epstein serves on the Editorial Board of Eye and Contact Lens: Science & Clinical Practice and is a reviewer for numerous clinical and scientific journals in the eye care field. He is a consulting expert for AllAboutVision.com’s Dry Eye and Keratoconus sections, where he answers patients’ questions about treatment options. Dr. Epstein was recently appointed to the prestigious Dry Eye Workshop II (DEWS-II).
Active in the profession, Dr. Epstein is a Past Chair of the Contact Lens & Cornea Section (CLCS) of the American Optometric Association and a founder and past President of the Optometric Dry Eye Society. He led and was a primary strategist of the American Optometric Association’s response to the international Fusarium keratitis outbreak and was frequently quoted in news media throughout the world including an appearance on Good Morning America. As Chair of the CLCS he spoke before the US Congress regarding contact lens safety. Paul Kuhwald has been a Contact Lens Specialist since 1972. Paul served on the Board of Directors of the Contact Lens Society of America for nine years. He authored and co-authored articles on the use of extended wear lenses after cataract surgery. Paul has lectured around the country and in Canada on subjects ranging from design and fitting of multifocal rigid and soft lenses, design and fitting of astigmatic lenses, and on special designs for pathology i.e., keratoconus and post-corneal transplants. Paul's current practice includes pediatric fitting, multifocal and bifocal designs, and astigmatic soft and RGP lens designs. Offices are located both in Wilmington and in Lewes, Delaware.

Nora Whisnant joined PCRF in 2004 after going as a nurse volunteer to the emergency room of Haifa Hospital in Bourg el Baragne Regugee camp in Lebanon. She was president of the NJ chapter for 11 years and started the Delaware Chapter upon moving to Wilmington in 2015. With the help of local peace groups and humanitarians, the chapter has grown rapidly. Nora was a nurse in Adolescent Detox for nine years at Princeton House Behavioral Health, and prior to that was a Clinical Research Scientist and Project Group Leader for Burroughs Welcome Co.

Subbarao received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Mysore, a Masters degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Bombay and a Doctorate in Physical Inorganic Chemistry from the University of London. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemistry. He has published a number of papers in chemistry, a book on the Bhagavad Gita and a book on the Ayurvedic herb Brahmi.
