Superfoods, right brain versus left brain, lungs of the planet—these and other commonly shared pop-science phrases are certainly catchy and all-to-quick to trend online. But they are also often wrong (or at least not quite right).

The last few years have been difficult, and for a while, it felt like every day we were presented with a new and unfathomable piece of news. And social media keeps us more engaged than ever, almost too much.
