One of the defining symbols in society today for sexuality, beauty and femininity are breasts; which is why the most common type of cosmetic surgery is breast augmentation.
It seems you hear two ends of the spectrum when it comes to breast implants: It was a great decision that improved a women's figure, self-esteem and confidence; or a horror story that ruined someone's life. It may feel like it's hard to find unbiased, scientific and evidence-based information when it comes to this surgery.
What are the variables you need to consider before having a breast augmentation? Are you considering having children, and does that mean you should wait?
One of Chicago's premier plastic surgeons, Peter D. Geldner, MD, reveals the latest surgical techniques, how to choose the right size, as well as the risks, cost and recovery associated with the procedure.
Breast Implants: How to Obtain Healthy & Happy Results
