The Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare, is a healthcare law that is attempting to reform the current healthcare system by providing all Americans with quality and affordable healthcare insurance.
When this law came into effect, you might have had a life-changing event that caused you to lose insurance. Even though the ACA mandates that all Americans are covered, you might be wondering about penalties.
The ACA allows for getting treatment when you need it and reducing premiums and out-of-pocket costs. The law also says you can't be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, and young adults can stay on their parents' plan until the age of 26.
But, what happens after your child turns 26? What are their options for healthcare?
Listen in as President of Government Relations for GTL, Marianne Eterno, joins Melanie Cole, MS, to discuss penalties that you can avoid, as well as how young adults over the age of 26 can be covered under the ACA.
ACA: Requirements & Options for Young Adults Over Age 26
