Guest Bio:
Amy Mattle is an Integrative Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist who believes in the functional medicine approach to health and wellness. Her passion for nutrition started at the University of Delaware where she became an R.D.N. in the fall of 1996. Prior to seeing clients privately, Amy worked at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia and the Upper Chesapeake Health System in Baltimore seeing pediatric and adult inpatients with conditions ranging from cancer to type-1 diabetes.
Amy's son Ryan was diagnosed with autism in 2008. After much research, she decided to start Ryan on a gluten-free/casein-free diet and the results were amazing! He had dramatic improvements in communication, behavior and focus. Seeing how well Ryan responded to this diet made her passionate and excited to share this information with other families and help their children in the same way. - Length (mins): 10
