Levi Hebert was born without a finger and thumb due to a congenital condition, and his family thought he would always live like that.
But, when they made orthopedic surgeon Bryce Gillespie, all thoughts changed.

Dr. Bryce Gillespie graduated from the University of Rochester (New York) School of Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Distinction in Research. He completed his orthopaedic surgery training in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Boston, Massachusetts. This training included working at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System. He served as chief resident at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Gillespie sub-specialized by completing the Harvard Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
After his training, Dr. Gillespie was appointed an Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School and a staff of orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon at Boston Children’s Hospital. There he worked alongside his mentors, Dr. Peter Waters and Dr. Donald Bae. He is interested in helping patients of all ages with sports-related injuries, traumatic injuries, congenital differences, and other conditions affecting the shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand.
Originally from Edina, Minnesota, Dr. Gillespie graduated from Williams College (Massachusetts) and is excited about now living in Atlanta with his wife. - Length (mins): 10
