Dr. Oldson has been practicing internal medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago since 1998. She earned her B.S. at the University of Illinois, and her M.D. from Rush Medical College. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Rush Medical Center where she was chief resident and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the Medical Honor Society. During those years, Dr. Oldson was the recipient of numerous awards including Resident of the Year, and she served as president of the medical school student council and president of her house-staff association (representing hundreds of residents and fellows training at the hospital).
Dr. Oldson served on the Leadership Council and Joint Operations Leadership Committee of Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group, a primary care multi-specialty group of 125 physicians and other providers and has served as the Medical Director of their Call Center. The practice has 135,000 patients, 17 locations, and had $60,000,000.00 of revenue in 2010. NMPG has been utilizing electronic medical records for over ten years and has been doing web visits with its patients for many years as well.
Dr. Oldson served on the Medical Advisory Board for the Discovery Institute of Medical Education and is a former board member of the Illinois Science Council.
In 2009, Dr. Oldson was recruited by Analyte Health, and was later named their Medical Director.
