Elizabeth "Eli" Pollard has been with the World Parkinson Coalition from its inception in 2004 and helped steer the organization, alongside world renowned Parkinsonologist and WPC founder, Dr. Stanley Fahn. Together they worked to grow WPC Inc. from it's sole purpose, of hosting a triennial global Congress on Parkinson's disease, to it's more meaningful place in the community today, as a hub for many of the global PD organizations to connect and intersect online, on teleconferences, or in person at the Congresses. Eli is thrilled with the opportunity to meet the members of the community, to help build the WPC Legacy, and to watch as leading researchers, clinicians, people with Parkinson's and others work together to bring us closer to finding the cause(s) of Parkinson's and a cure for the disease.
Eli graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree, and the School for International Training with a Master's degree in International & Intercultural Management. She spent most of her 20s living outside the US in Zimbabwe, Switzerland, and Japan with lengthy stays for research or travel in India, China, and Thailand. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and two rambunctious children who keep her on her toes when she's not knee deep in WPC work. - Length (mins) 10

Denna D. Babul is a R.N., successful life coach, motivational speaker, author, medical expert and founder of the Fatherless Daughter Project. Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Denna’s parents separated when she was only three years old and life, as she knew it, changed. After tragically losing her father when she was 13, she decided depression was not all that it was cracked up to be and decided to go after life with “all guns ‘a blazing.” After overcoming her biggest hurdle, Denna’s purpose in life is to now be the voice for all fatherless daughters.
A graduate of University of South Carolina, Denna started off her career as a Registered Nurse, climbed the corporate ladder of a Fortune 500 medical company, and started and sold her own successful greeting card company, Dear Jon Cards. With this, Denna recently launched her own podcast, Keeping it Real with Denna.
Denna has spent years involved in a variety of charity efforts. As a sponsor of the 2003 Rock and Roll Marathon, she raised thousands of dollars for the Leukemia Foundation. Karen Tedesco, MD, is a medical oncologist at New York Oncology Hematology. She leads the Hereditary Cancer Risk Assessment Program and serves as vice president of the NYOH Board of Directors. Dr. Tedesco is a member of the U.S. Oncology Breast Cancer Research Committee and the U.S. Oncology Genetic Risk Evaluation and Testing Steering Committee. At age 34 and a new mother, Allison Boyanovski was shocked when she discovered a lump on her right breast. As a healthcare professional herself (Allison works at Jersey City Medical Center), she knew to monitor the lump and made plans to visit her doctor as soon as she could. After receiving a diagnosis with HER2-positive* early breast cancer, Allison says her professional experience helped her to understand and chart a path forward. Allison started a regimen of HER2-targeted therapies prior to undergoing a surgery to remove the tumor and continued treatment through January of 2015. She is proud of her optimism and of “not wasting any time or giving up,” but at the same time, she says tells others facing the same situation that it’s okay “to be sad, mad and disappointed when you get the diagnosis.”
Today, she enjoys spending time cooking and catching up with family and is excited to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk for a second time. - Length (mins) 10
