Vitamin Strategies for Aging

Your body needs different vitamins as you get older.
In your 20s, you’re still growing and metabolically active. You need plenty of B vitamins, calcium, magnesium, potassium and vitamin D. A good multivitamin should help. You may also need a digestive aid.

In your 40s, your digestive enzyme production decreases. Adding a digestive enzyme before each meal can help you break down your food into usable nutrients. Vitamins C and D and minerals are crucial.

As you get older, digestion worsens. Having one or two digestive enzyme capsules before each meal will aid digestion. You need magnesium, calcium and potassium to stabilize muscle. Creatin powder may help with muscles.

A blood test will reveal what vitamins your body needs to have supplemented.
