After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia, she began her career as a broadcast reporter, radio show host and news anchor in suburban New York City. Radio stations included WHUD, WFAS and WXPS in New York, WSTC in Stamford, CT and WEVD in New York City.
