Marion Nestle, is a pioneering figure in nutrition, food studies, and public health. She is Professor Emerita at New York University, where she chaired the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health for over a decade, and is currently a Visiting Professor at Cornell University. With a Ph.D. in molecular biology and an M.P.H. in public health nutrition, she’s dedicated her career to examining how scientific, societal, and corporate forces shape food choices and their health impacts. She’s been named among the top ten in health and science by Time Magazine, Science Magazine, and The Guardian. She’s the bestselling author of 16 influential books, including “Food Politics,” considered one of the most influential health books ever written. Her research has earned her numerous accolades, including the James Beard Leadership Award and the Edinburgh. Medal. Her latest book is called “The Fish Counter.”
