Have you ever heard of Tabata Training?
There are so many circuit training workouts out there, it may be difficult to figure out which one is best for you. Could Tabata be it?
Tabata is a high intensity circuit workout that is often penned the "Ultimate 4-Minute Workout" because of that intensity. The circuit involves eight back-to-back 30-second intervals, with 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest.
It was first developed by a Japanese professor, who integrated it into his speed skater's workouts and noticed that they became faster using Tabata rather than the moderate intensity exercise they were used to.
Tabata works so well because it forces your body to perform anaerobic and aerobic exercise, and mixes up your metabolic process.
So, do you need special equipment? A membership to a fancy fitness studio?
Nope. All you need, according to fitness expert Neal Pire, MA, is a PLAN.
Join Neal and Melanie Cole, MS, to learn more about Tabata and if it just might be your perfect workout.
