Christine Horner, MD, is a nationally known surgeon, author, and natural health expert residing in San Diego, CA. She holds two board certifications: the National Board of Surgery and the National Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Horner was recognized as a leader in her field shortly after starting her plastic and reconstructive surgery practice because she successfully ran a national campaign to pass laws requiring insurance companies to pay for breast reconstruction following mastectomy.
Dr. Horner's five year crusade -- the Breast Reconstruction Advocacy Project or BRA Project -- led to the passage of laws in 35 states and a federal law. Seth Swirsky, a New Haven, Connecticut native, is a Beverly Hills-based therapist and author. His is also a Grammy-nominated American pop music songwriter, recording artist, filmmaker, political writer, and noted baseball memorabilia collector.
In 1980, at the age of 20, Swirsky wrote the national jingle for Thomas' English Muffins. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 1982, Swirsky wrote the Grammy-nominated hit "Tell It To My Heart" with Ernie Gold for Taylor Dayne. Following this hit, Swirsky went on to write or co-write many hits for artists such as Al Green, Tina Turner, Rufus Wainwright, Michael McDonald, Air Supply, Olivia Newton-John, The Go-Go's, and Celine Dion, among many others. A recording artist in his own right, Swirsky has released five award-winning albums of his own.
His love of baseball led him to write three books on the subject. Baseball Letters, the first of Swirsky's four books, was published in 1996. Every Pitcher Tells A Story, Swirsky's second book, was a Los Angeles Times bestseller. Something to Write Home About, the third book in the trilogy, consists of letters to Swirsky from both ballplayers and fans of the game.
Swirsky’s fourth book, newly released, is 21 Ways to a Happier Depression: A Creative Guide to Getting Unstuck from Anxiety, Setbacks, and Stress.
In addition to baseball, Swirsky is also a huge fan of The Beatles.
